The 5th Wallace "Frank" Hall, Jr. Memorial Hunt at the Snowshoe Mountain Resort was held December 8 & 9, 2004.

Once again the hunters were 100% successful in harvesting an antlerless deer. In 5 years our 36 hunters have all harvested a deer. More importantly all hunters returned home safely and just delighted to have participated in the hunt. We had people from coast to coast this year. We had a hunter from California and a hunter from New Jersey. The other seven hunters this year where all from West Virginia.

With the team work of WVHEA, WVDNR, WV Tourism, Snowshoe Resort, our guest where treated to a first class event.

Thanks to the individuals that come to help with this event , Randy & Carol, George & Donna, Danny, Junior, Homer, Susan, Jason, Steve, Brian, Josh, Randy, Larry, Tim, Dave, Jim & Bobby Dale, the hunt  was a great time for all.

We thank Chris, Darrell, Frank, Kelly, Robert, Joseph, Paul, Jonathan and William for having faith in the people above to deliver them to the field in usually bad wet, cold snowy weather to participate in the outdoor sport of deer hunting. You guys have enlightened others making it possible for other Challenged Hunters to find opportunities in the outdoors.

All deer where checked and tagged by DNR. Skinning and packaging of the venison was done on site.

The financial help for this event has been great. I think every meal and the rooms where taken care of from donations from many sources this year.

Thanks again to the GREAT FOLKS at SNOWSHOE MOUNTAIN RESORT for there hospitality.

Note: Prior to the hunt all participants had been interviewed,  showed proof of completing a certified hunter education course and qualified with the firearm they would be using in the hunt. Everyone's health & safety is our #1 priority. Total enjoyment of the event #2.
