The Charleston Hunt Show will be held next weekend January 30, 31
& February 1, 2009. The WVHEA will have a booth at the show
and welcome all members and non member West Virginia Hunter
Education Instructors to stop by the booth and visit. Workers all
always welcome. If only for an hour or so or all day, your
help will be greatly appreciated. We will be giving away a
Muzzleloader for 1st prize and an Electric Smoker 2nd prize on
Sunday February 1, 2009 at the end of the show. For a $1.00 donation
you get one chance to win, but for a $5.00 donation you get 8
chances to win. Adults or kids can donate for a chance to win.
If Muzzleloader should be won by anyone under the age of 21 their
parent or guardian must sing for it. No background check needed.
For the kids 12 and under we will be giving away on Friday January
30 and Saturday January 31, 2009 a Youth Bow. These drawings are
free, all the kids have to do is visit the booth at the show to sign
up. For the kids 12 and under we will have 2 drawings on Sunday
February 1, 2009 for 2 backpacks full of goodies. Again this is a
free drawing, no donation required for the 4 kids drawings. We
would like to thank those who have donated items for the youth
drawings. I will list those fine supporters on the next update.
The next Officer and BOD meeting is scheduled for February 8, 2009

Hunters for the invitation and booth space at the Hunt Show.
Glen Jones and Don Lockard have picked up a trailer load
of materials to build one of the displays that we use at the Hunt
Show. The materials was donated to the WVHEA by the fine folks of
the Mountaineer Log & Siding Company. They have a mill located in
Summersville, WV. They manufacture log siding and log homes.
There corporate office is located at Deep Creek Lake near McHenry,
Maryland. They can be contacted by telephone (304)872-5299 or
(800) 336-9200 or on the web at
www.mountaineerlog.com.
Thanks again to the fine folks at Mountaineer Log Siding Company.
