Hunter Ed. Patch Program
Several years ago the DNR gave a
Hunter Safety patch to each student that passed the hunter education
course. But due to budget constrains this program had to be
discontinued. However, the WVHEA is proud to announce that effective
January 1, 2000 the Patch Program has been revived thanks to the
help of our sponsors. The following companies were responsible for
reviving the Patch Program:
Westvaco-Rupert, WV /
Weyerhaeuser-Sutton, WV / The Timber Co.-Georgia Pacific-Mt.
Hope, WV / WV Forest Association-Ripley, WV. We would like to thank
these companies for there support the last 4 years.
Starting January 1, 2004 the patches
will be supplied the WV Division of Tourism.

made it possible for the WVHEA to fund several projects over
the years.
